Welcome

Welcome to the Church of the Covenant, a historic and vibrant Presbyterian congregation at 310 East 42nd Street. Often called “the church of the United Nations,” we stand a stone’s throw from UN headquarters, and we carry that spirit of unity and inclusion into everything we do.

Our mission is simple: to help connect people to faith.

Open to Everyone

Whoever you are and wherever you come from, you will find a welcoming, supportive community here. Our place beside theUnited Nations reflects our commitment to global unity.

Committed To Community

Through worship, youth programs, concerts,

classes, and counseling, we strive to be a

source of hope and support for everyone

who walks through our doors.

A Rich History
Our story began in 1866 as a mission Sabbath school serving the families of Manhattan’s East Side. Our sanctuary on 42nd Street was dedicated in 1871 and is now part of the Tudor City Historic District.
